No Tortillas? Easiest Homemade Taco Shells EVER!

(NO Flour or Corn Needed)

What You'll Need

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Pam’s Prep All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ¼ cup tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup lettuce, chopped
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • ¼ cup sour cream, room temperature (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (optional)

Seasonings:

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons coriander
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

How to Make It

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Make the Cheese Taco Shells:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • For each shell, spread ½ cup of shredded cheddar into a circle.
  • Bake until melted and edges are crispy.
  • Let cool slightly, then shape into taco shells (drape over a spoon handle or similar).
  • Allow to cool completely so they hold their shape.

Prepare the Ground Meat Filling:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey.
  • When partially cooked, add diced onion and all seasonings (including Pam’s Prep).
  • Stir well and cook until fully browned and fragrant.
  • Drain excess oil to avoid soggy shells.

Assemble the Tacos:

  • Start with lettuce at the base of each shell.
  • Add the seasoned meat mixture.
  • Top with more lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and salsa.
  • Garnish with sour cream and green onions if desired.

Final Touch

Let taco shells bake longer for extra crunch!
(The longer your taco shells cook, the crispier they will be.)
