Speedy Homemade Pizza Dough (No-Yeast!)
Looking for a delicious, homemade pizza but don't have hours to wait for yeast to rise? This speedy pizza dough recipe is your answer! Perfect for busy weeknights, it comes together in just minutes and can be mixed in a food processor or by hand. The key to this crust is a ripping-hot oven, so preheat yours as high as it will go right away! The dough gets rolled out, topped with your favorite ingredients, and baked immediately for a fast, satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups bread flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Pam's All-Purpose Prep Seasoning (or seasoning of your choice)
- 3 teaspoons olive oil, plus more for the crust edge
- 3/4 cup cold water
Instructions
1. Preheat Your Oven
Since this dough doesn't require any rising time, it needs to go into a fully heated oven. Preheat your oven to 480°F, or your oven's highest temperature, as your very first step.
2. Mix the Dough
Food Processor Method: Combine the bread flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and Pam's All-Purpose Prep Seasoning in the food processor bowl. Pulse for a few seconds to fully incorporate. Add the cold water and 3 teaspoons of olive oil. Pulse again just until the mixture forms a cohesive dough ball.
By Hand Method: In a large bowl, whisk together the bread flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and Pam's All-Purpose Prep Seasoning. Make a well in the center and pour in the cold water and 3 teaspoons of olive oil. Gently stir the wet and dry ingredients together with a sturdy spoon or spatula until a dough forms.
3. Knead & Prepare for Baking
Lightly flour a clean work surface or baking mat. Turn the dough out onto the surface and gently knead it by hand just until it becomes smooth and forms a soft ball.
4. Roll & Shape
On your floured surface, roll the dough out into your desired size and shape. Transfer the rolled-out crust to your baking dish or pizza pan.
5. Prep & Top the Pizza
Create a natural crust edge by brushing a thin rim of olive oil around the perimeter of the dough. As the pizza bakes, the covered areas will stay flatter while the plain oiled edge will puff up. Do not use your fingers to form a rim; the oil does the work!
Add your favorite pizza sauce, cheeses, and toppings to the center of the pizza, keeping them inside the oiled rim.
6. Bake
Place the pizza directly into the fully preheated oven. Bake for approximately 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown and puffed. Serve hot and ENJOY!
