What You'll Need

For the Marinade:

For the Pork Chops:

  • 3–4 bone-in pork chops (1/2 inch thick)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, optional
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

How to Make It

1. Marinate the Pork Chops:

  • Place pork chops in a zip-top bag and add all marinade ingredients.
  • Massage the marinade into the meat and refrigerate for 1 hour up to overnight.

2. Assemble the Dish:

  • In a baking pan, spread half of the sliced onions across the bottom.
  • Place marinated pork chops on top of the onions.
  • Add bell pepper, if using, spreading it throughout the dish.
  • Mix chicken broth with cornstarch and pour over the pork chops.
  • Pour melted butter evenly across the top.

3. Bake:

  • Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Remove foil and continue baking uncovered for another hour, or until pork chops are tender and the gravy has browned.

Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side. ENJOY!

This came out really good. Very juicey. It was tender at the 1 1/2 hour mark. So glad because I was tired of making fried chops.

Nancy

1. When and how do we use the other half of the onions?
2. The total cook time is 2 1/2 hrs. Is that correct? Seems like a long long time.

Love your you tube channel and I have your seasoning blend and it’s awesome.
