Your New Go-To Breakfast Recipe
What You'll Need
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar (see video for making your own)
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted and slightly warm
- 1 cup Milk, more or less (amount included in wet ingredients step, enough to achieve pourable consistency)
How to Make It
1. Mix the Batter:
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk in milk, eggs, and vanilla just until combined.
- Add melted butter and whisk until the batter is smooth. It will be thick but pourable.
2. Cook the Waffles:
- Preheat your waffle iron.
- Pour batter directly into the center of each section.
- Wait 20–30 seconds before closing the lid to allow the batter to begin setting, this prevents overflow.
- Close and cook until golden brown and crisp to the touch.
3. Serve:
- Transfer waffles to a plate and garnish with your favorite toppings. ENJOY!
Notes: Pour just enough batter into the waffle iron, spreading it evenly with a silicone or wooden utensil. This helps avoid batter oozing out the sides while cooking.

I found your YouTube channel several months ago and shared it with my son. Now he’s switched from University to Community College so he can study Culinary Arts, and I am thrilled for him to follow his passion. At 63 years old, I thought I knew my way around the kitchen. I even have most of the modern gadgets. But I learn so much just watching you. You have a gift and you are changing lives. God bless you!
