Quick & Easy Milk Bread Rolls
What You'll Need
- 1 cup milk + 2 tablespoons
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
How to Make It
1. Mix the Wet & Dry:
- In a large bowl whisk together 1 cup milk and olive oil.
- Add sugar, baking powder, and salt, then mix well to combine.
- Add flour and stir until a dough forms (a wooden or silicone spatula works best).
2. Rest the Dough:
- Drizzle the outside of the dough lightly with oil, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.
3. Shape the Rolls:
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and gently form a smooth ball (do not knead).
- Divide into 6 equal parts, round each piece into a ball, and place on a parchment-lined baking dish 1–2 inches apart.
- Make a slit on top of each dough ball with a sharp knife.
4. Bake & Finish:
- Brush tops with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Optional: Brush with butter after baking for extra flavor.
Serve warm and fluffy straight from the oven. Perfect with soups, stews, or on their own. ENJOY!
