Quick & Easy Milk Bread Rolls

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup milk + 2 tablespoons
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

How to Make It

1. Mix the Wet & Dry:

  • In a large bowl whisk together 1 cup milk and olive oil.
  • Add sugar, baking powder, and salt, then mix well to combine.
  • Add flour and stir until a dough forms (a wooden or silicone spatula works best).

2. Rest the Dough:

  • Drizzle the outside of the dough lightly with oil, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.

3. Shape the Rolls:

  • Transfer dough to a floured surface and gently form a smooth ball (do not knead).
  • Divide into 6 equal parts, round each piece into a ball, and place on a parchment-lined baking dish 1–2 inches apart.
  • Make a slit on top of each dough ball with a sharp knife.

4. Bake & Finish:

  • Brush tops with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Optional: Brush with butter after baking for extra flavor.

Serve warm and fluffy straight from the oven. Perfect with soups, stews, or on their own. ENJOY!

I made this recipe to go with our meal last night and they were such a hit that my 16 year old daughter asked me to double the recipe for dinner tonight, lol. Thank you for sharing this one, Pam, it’s absolutely delicious, as well as super easy!
