  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon prepared (dried) mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Cooking spray for pan

Marinade:

How to Make It

1. Prep the Ingredients

  • Slice potatoes thinly, place in cold water, and set aside.
  • Marinate chopped chicken breast with Pam’s Prep All Purpose Seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil.
  • Cook bacon until crispy, crumble, and set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken and Make the Sauce

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken just until slightly browned (it will finish cooking in the oven).
  • In a separate skillet, melt butter and sauté onions for 2–3 minutes until soft and translucent.
  • Add flour to the onions and cook for another 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Slowly pour in milk and heavy cream, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in Pam’s Prep Fiery Hot Seasoning, dried mustard, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Remove from heat once thickened.

3. Assemble the Casserole

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray a heavy-bottom or cast iron skillet with cooking spray.
  • Layer sliced potatoes across the bottom, slightly overlapping.
  • Add a layer of cooked chicken and crumbled bacon.
  • Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese.
  • Pour a layer of the creamy sauce over the cheese.
  • Repeat the layers until the skillet is full, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top.

4. Bake

  • Cover the skillet with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake uncovered until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

5. Final Touch

  • Let rest for 20–30 minutes before cutting to allow the casserole to set.
  • Enjoy warm!
