Easy Homemade Chicken Cream

 

What You'll Need

 

  • 4 tablespoons butter, salted or unsalted
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon white or black pepper
  • Heavy cream

 

How to Make It

 

1. Make the Roux:

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet.
  • Add the flour and stir until creamy and well combined.

 

2. Season:

  • Add the onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Stir well to combine.

 

3. Finish the Cream:

  • Add the chicken broth and continue stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the heavy cream and simmer for another 2 to 3 minutes.

 

4. Store or Serve:

  • Transfer to a glass jar or serve warm. ENJOY!

So I am using the gravy recipe, to make cream of whatever soup?
If using celery just use vegetable broth?
