This homemade Brandy Syrup taste better than maple syrup!

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 ounces Brandy

How to Make It

  • In a medium sauce pan combine the brown sugar and water.
  • Stir to combine and bring to a rapid boil.
  • Add the brandy, reducing the heat to medium continue to boil until the syrup is reduced to half.
  • Once the syrup has reduced to half remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
  • Once the syrup has cooled transfer to a tempered glass container. Do not place a top on the glass container until the syrup has completely cooled and the glass container is cool to the touch.

Note: To temper your glass container run your empty container under water, steadily increasing the temperature of the water until it is very hot.  Running hot water over your glass container before filling it with a hot liquid will ensure that it does not break from shock.
